Street Mode is an annual music, art, and sports festival held in Thessaloniki since 2009. It is the largest festival in Northern Greece, reaching more than 40.000 visitors, in a many-days long program involving gigs on 6 stages, music contests, and street activities. The 2018 event took place over 4 days (Thursday, August 30th – Sunday, September 2nd).
Turn yourself on “street” mode and enjoy live music, DJ sets, shows and contests of graffiti, street art, breaking, street dance, parkour, freerunning, skateboarding, longboarding and much more!
With its roots in the streets, Street Mode initially began as a series of events taking place in an open – public space, such as the square of Thermi (2009-2013) and the port of Thessaloniki (2014-2016), with the purpose to present all the elements of street culture together.
As the street culture, we define the subculture that is developed mainly in urban areas, and is freely expressed through arts such as graffiti and breakdance, through sports such as skateboarding and parkour and is represented by the sounds of hip-hop, punk rock, heavy rock and ska/reggae music.
